Each of these bundles contains VX-developed tools that are specifically designed to meet the needs of various industry professionals. In addition, each bundle is considerably less expensive than components that usually need to be purchased separately and added to other CAD/CAM systems to make a complete solution.

The Mold and Die Bundle, for instance, helps mold makers efficiently create parting lines and faces, cavities, flow lines, inserts, cooling channels, and other essential mold elements. The Machinist Bundle offers innovative machining functions for 2- to 3-axis operations such as rest milling, high-speed milling, complex hole making, and other metalworking needs along with manufacturing planning and pre-defined templates.

        Each bundle contains tools from the Designer Bundle so that a mold maker or machinist can import and heal files created in other CAD systems and tailor geometry to meet specific machining requirements. This is especially important for mold makers and machinists, who often receive customer files that are incomplete or saved in formats that remove some geometric information.
Finally, the VX End-to-End Bundle provides all of the components in the Designer and Machinst bundles for a complete design and manufacturing solution. Organizations using VX End-to-End can handle everything from conceptual design and prototyping to cutting metal and manufacturing planning with the easy to use, template-based VX graphical CAM manager.

        As with the other VX bundles, the End-to-End Bundle will save the user at least 50 percent compared to a solution assembled from a CAD system and separate third-party components. In addition, the functional and data integration within the VX bundles also saves time and money through less training and support, and result in greater quality and efficiency through common commands and interfaces, and predictable data handling.

        The VX Professional Bundles join the recently introduced VX Basic, which is an aggressively priced entry-level CAD system based on VX’s sophisticated solids, assembly, layout and drafting tools. VX Basic also reads and writes DWG and DXF files and exports design work in IGES format.
