        JIMTOF, the Japan International Machine Tool Fair, is the biggest machine tool show in Asia filling the entire facility of Tokyo Big Sight (Tokyo International Exhibition Center) and recognized as one of the three biggest machine tool shows in the world alongside EMO in Europe and IMTS in the Unites States. Upwards to 100,00 visitors are expected at this year's JIMTOF which runs from November 1 to November 8. MachineWare, located in Tokyo and the distributor of VX CAD/CAM solutions in Asia, will be highlighting demonstrations at their booth, E5003, of insightful, real world situations that will show exactly the many benefits machine tool centers can expect to achieve by using a fully integrated CAD/CAM system such as VX.

        New VX Version 10 introduces exciting, powerful new tools such as precision global shape morphing, ScanShape (VX reverse engineering) point cloud import manipulation, intelligent sectioning, intelligent import editing, advanced CAM operation management for 2 to 5-axis milling and an all-new user-friendly CAM Post-Processor. All aspects of VX have been refined and improved. VX Version 10 has made further break-through advances in speed, achieved with its own high performance kernel, faster assembly model display, and faster 2D layout.

        VX ScanShape makes VX the only MCAD CAD/CAM program on the market with advanced, integrated point cloud (millions of points from laser scans) tools. VX also supports input using a number of digitizing arms thus offering a very serious solution to reverse engineering problems. VX global shape morphing can be applied equally well on solid models, surface models and imported geometry. It has an easy to use interface that is functionally rich for professional use offering dimensional accuracy and symmetry.

        The new VX Post program comes complete with posts already defined for many popular CNC controllers. It has a user-friendly interface and rapidly produces output files. New CAM features range from easy to use engage/retract options in 2.5D milling, to advanced object management tools delivering the ability to import/export CAM operations (i.e., build a library of oft used toolpath solutions). The VX Solid Verification module, already boasting good speed in version 9, has been dramatically improved - for example, a benchmark test case that took a respectable 50 minutes to complete in v9, now takes only 12 minutes in v10! The VX QuickMilling module has many enhancements too, including lead-in along toolpath and spline elasticity for smooth links.
