VX Direct Editing Leadership
        VX has introduced another extremely useful tool for designers and engineers faced with difficult modeling tasks, the powerful "simplify" wizard. VX CAD/CAM has an established reputation for its versatile range of direct editing tools that have been honed and matured over years of development. The tools deliver the ability to modify model geometry in numerous ways, yet the data does not need to be a solid, nor does it need to have a history tree. Thus, VX can directly edit any imported models as though they were native geometry, even if the imported geometry has relatively poor quality.

Directly Edit-Out Complete Features
        The new "simplify" wizard is designed to swiftly remove entire model features and intelligently close the resulting holes in faces that remain. This command complements other existing VX tools that can get very difficult tasks completed quickly and accurately. Designers need to simplify complete models for a variety of reasons. For example, to reduce an assembly to a Space Envelope Model - a representation of the overall shape and size. Or to include key information such as interfacing features but exclude detail that your supplier/customer does not need - which could of course hold commercial secrets. You may have imported a part model that requires FEA, CFD or other analysis. The removal of insignificant detail can expediently improve results. Possibly the most popular requirement is the production of a Package Model. This forms the basis of a package shape - Package Designers need the essence of the product's shape but fine details in the product model often present problems because of the materials and processes to be used for the packaging.
