V13 Filleting Highlights

VX’s filleting engine, which seamlessly supports surface and solid filleting, has been completely re-written to handle many more geometry conditions.  V13 establishes a new foundation that will allow future development and enhancements to meet user needs through the next decade. This is an important improvement to maintain superiority in the hybrid modeling arena.

Stair Filleting (Hold Fillet Edge)

• Create solid fillets such that one or both rails (or contact edges) of the fillets run along an edge for the entire length of the rail.

• A variable radius fillet option that allows you to specify a zero radius fillet anywhere along an edge increasing productivity and design options for product designers.

• The new filleting engine offers more stability in handling “less-than-perfect” geometry for mold designers and machine shops.
